johnathan and i met at emerald isle so i've always known i wanted my wedding to be at the beach. i didn't want to be ON the beach cause i'm not one with nature and the thought of all the sand and wind didn't make me too excited! thanks to johnathan's sister, sam, she hooked us up with some awesome vendors! she told us about the islander suites, a recently remodeled hotel on the beach. i loved the website pictures and was so excited to find out it was available on october 22! johnathan, his mom, and i went to check it out one saturday. we loved everything from the grassy area by the beach to the inside ceremony room and even the beautiful oceanfront rooms! here are a few photos from their website!
we are going to have an arbor to stand under and an aisle runner.
as much as i'd love to have the reception outside, october tends to get chilly when the sun goes down so i'd rather be indoors!
dance floor, check. bar, check.
the room can double as our "plan b" ceremony location. i'm keeping my fingers crossed that's not needed!

It's really a nice place, got down there two weeks ago and walked around. Couldn't get in the party room though. Looked in the oceanfront rooms, they are super! Love you!
